PDF Shapes Limitations
Microsoft Office offers a wide variety of shapes that can be inserted into a document. While DOCX output supports all shapes, the Windward PDF output only supports a subset of these shapes. This article will cover what is supported and what is unsupported.
If you select the Microsoft Office PDF Output builder from the Windward options menu, all shapes are supported in PDF output.
Here is an image of all supported and unsupported shapes. The shapes highlighted in green are supported in PDF output and shapes highlighted in red are unsupported.
Only solid backgrounds are supported for shapes in PDF output. If you have a gradient background, the shapes will be transparent and will appear to be missing.
